Diffuse

Diffuse formed in 2010 when Alex Rutkowski and Finn Zeferino-Birchall performed together at primary school. At high school Ned Sherwell joined on Drums with Jack Kirk on Bass. Joe MacLaren later replaced Jack on Bass, completing the current line up.

In 2011, a day after Ned joined the band, they performed in the Blastbeat competition, winning their regional heat, and making it through to the sem...ifinals. They were invited to perform as guests on the finals that took place at the O2 Indigo. They also perform regularly in local pubs. In early 2013 they won the One Ealing Battle Of The Bands.

Diffuse write and play their own songs, with a few selected covers. Their influences range from The Who to Elvis Costello, from Reggae to Motown, and from Enter Shikari to Muse.
